De su quinto trabajo titulado (Mankind) The Crafty Ape, los siempre enigmáticos Crippled Black Phoenix de Inglaterra viajan de la miseria a la esperanza lírica y musicalmente hablando. Es un trabajo que se centra en hablar de la corrupción de la humanidad y la injusticia rampante, algunas veces en una atmósfera caótica, otras veces con algún rayo de esperanza. Es un trabajo que sin duda pone la mente en jaque y presenta un reto digerirlo completamente. Laying Traps es solo uno de tantos puntos altos del álbum.
Definitivamente uno de mis trabajos favoritos del 2012.
